Too Artsy For You?

     There are no boundaries in my paintings. I paint purely what I feel and I am guided by color for the
     creation of different genres of contemporary, abstract, non-representational and representational
     art. Each expression is different and a new challenge for me. I work on several paintings at a time.

     I am basically self-taught, but am constantly taking new classes either in college or at exciting
     workshops. My desire to paint began when I lived in France, where I laid my hat for 15 years.
     I did not figure out I was an artist until I was in my 30’s. I then finally realized why any job
     never felt “right” to me!

     While I paint, I am in my element. I feel whole, I feel love, and I feel a deep connection with
     myself. Every painting represents a new desire, liberation. Nature, color and Mehndi are my
     particular inspirations. I adore mixing colors and working with them to discover how they
     interact. My paintings are usually generous in texture. I thoroughly enjoy acrylics due to the
     rapid drying time. Some of my paintings come from dreams; others are reflected during the
     day at any moment. It can take me one hour to accomplish some paintings, yet it can take me
     weeks for others. I know my painting is finished when I feel I can hang it in my home with a
     sense of joy!
